Two Ways to Make Red Yeast Cabbage and Yellow Chive Dumplings (Boiled Dumplings + Potstickers)

Personally, I love the combination of cabbage and yellow chives in the filling—it tastes amazing, especially when used for potstickers. The crispy, fragrant bottom of the potstickers is really delicious.
Tips:
You can adjust all seasonings and ingredients to your liking. For potstickers, be sure to use a flour-water mixture to get that crispy texture on the bottom.
Afterthoughts:
Using one filling for two different cooking methods is truly satisfying.

Flower-Shaped Chinese Chive Dumplings Flower-Shaped Chinese Chive Dumplings
Since I love Chinese chive dumplings, I wanted to see if I could make them myself. After making the "flower petals" by pleating the wrapper, lightly press down on the dumpling with your hand. Shrimp and Pork Filled Chinese Chive Dumplings Shrimp and Pork Filled Chinese Chive Dumplings
I was inspired by the Chinese chive buns that I had at a restaurant. I sort of made it up, and the results were delicious. See"Ultra-easy Gyoza Dumpling Skins" for instructions on making the skins. These dumplings are packed with filling. The skins will stretch a lot and you'll wonder "what if it won't hold the filling?" but they will. The dumplings will puff up when they are steam-fried so leave some space in between them. Finally, be very careful not to poke a hole in the dumplings when you turn them over (or the juice will escape!) Recipe by Setsubunhijiki cookpad.japan -
Revolutionary! Amazing Chinese Cabbage-Based Gyoza Pot Stickers Revolutionary! Amazing Chinese Cabbage-Based Gyoza Pot Stickers
We had a dim sum party the other day and I made my cabbage-based gyoza pot stickers that we make once a week as a detoxifying dish. The pot stickers came out crispy with a glutenous filling, and the Chinese cabbage gave it a delicious glistening and sweet punch.A while back, when Chen Kenmin ("father of Chinese Sichuan cooking" in Japan) made dim sum on his show, he explained that it was important to give the filling a glutenous texture when mixing the minced meat with seasoning. He also said that using Chinese cabbage as a flavoring ingredient will help the filling blend well and bring out the flavors. The gyoza pot stickers will turn out crispy if you add water when you start frying. For 3 packs worth gyoza pot sticker wrappers: 4 servings. Recipe by Okaraseijin cookpad.japan -

Chicken Dumplings with Steamed Vegetables Chicken Dumplings with Steamed Vegetables
I wanted to eat soft and plump chicken dumplings. When you heat ground chicken, the flavour decreases, so add some chicken stock to compensate. Also, when you boil it, the soup flavour weakens, so it is best to steam it to preserve the flavours and make the dumplings soft and plump. Placing the dumplings on cabbage prevents them from browning. Recipe by nin cookpad.japan -

Curried Gyoza Dumplings Curried Gyoza Dumplings
The garlic and garlic chives in store-bought gyoza tend to be too strong to pack in your bento. So, I made a homemade version that cuts down on the smell and could be packed in your bento without concern. At Step 4 when you flip the seams down, they scorch easily so be careful. If you prepare the dumplings to Step 3 in the evening, you only need to fry them the next day. The seasoning for the filling is slightly concentrated. You could make a large batch and freeze them. Xiaolongbao (Chinese Soup Dumplings) Made with Gyoza Skins in a Frying Pan Xiaolongbao (Chinese Soup Dumplings) Made with Gyoza Skins in a Frying Pan
I wanted to eat xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) after seeing them on TV but wasn't really sure how to make the skins and didn't even have a steamer. So I used a frying pan and gyoza skins instead.- The soup will not melt easily when you mix it with the half-frozen ground pork.- Keep the soup and the filling in the refrigerator until just before using them.- You can also wrap the dumplings like gyoza if they're difficult to wrap.
