Crispy garlic potato slices

Crispy garlic potato slices
Steps
- 1
Preheat the oven to 250°c, this sounds very hot but it needs to be for this to work, trust me.
- 2
Peel the potatoes and cut them into slices, approximately 1 inch thick. Dry the slices off with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- 3
Melt 30 grams of butter and put it over the potatoes with 2 tbsps oil, 2 tbsps dried mixed herbs and ground black pepper to taste. Mix well until all the slices are evenly covered. Spread them out on a flat baking tray that has sides.
- 4
Put the potatoes in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until they're browining. Take them out of the oven, flip each potato slice over and put it back in for another 10 to 12 minutes. Keep an eye on them to make sure they don't burn. Take them out the oven.
- 5
Put the garlic cloves through a garlic press or finely chop them. Sprinkle the garlic evenly over the potato slices and then add the stock to the tray.
- 6
Put the tray back into the oven for another 10 to 12 minutes or until all the stock has been absorbed by the potatoes. Serve.
These are a great side for many things. I've had them with burgers, sausages, chicken, nut roast etc.
