Pickled Okra the blanching method
A bit of a different method.
Steps
- 1
Wash the okra. In a pot add the vinegar, salt, and okra. Start to blanch. To the jar add the kosher salt, bay leaves, and mustard seed.
- 2
Add the water and give it a mix. Stack the hot okra in the jar. Get the vinegar nice and hot.
- 3
Pour the vinegar over the okra in the jar filling it to just above the okra tops. Put the lid on it and allow the jar to cool. Store in the refrigerator for 2 days. Then you can serve the okra. I hope you enjoy!!!
