However, I like black rice for its unique smell. The taste is so nice. My family enjoys recipes of black rice. As we are celebrating the Rathyatra of Lord Jagannath, Puri, Odisha, I prepared ladoo of black rice for the Deity.

However, I like black rice for its unique smell. The taste is so nice. My family enjoys recipes of black rice. As we are celebrating the Rathyatra of Lord Jagannath, Puri, Odisha, I prepared ladoo of black rice for the Deity.

Soak black rice for 10 minutes and dry the rice. Then dry roast to make it and become aromatic.

Similarly roast black sesame seeds. Now mix and allow to cool down.

Grind both black rice and sesame seeds in a grinder jar.
Add 10 or more dates and grind by mixing with rice and sesame seeds. Add ghee or butter.

Mix well and make the ladoo and coat them with dry coconut oil. Garnish with cranberries and serve. Thanks.
