So here is the scenario. Folks come over on a Sunday make some ham and rice. Beautiful Jasmine rice. Ut oh, it's way overcooked. It tastes like Jasmine rice mush. So they leave. They left it!! Well I really hate to waste food. Maybe repurpose it make some rice glue, or sake, what am I gonna do with it. How about Rice cakes.

Ingredients

  • 2 cupovercooked rice
  • 3 tablespoonsoil
  • As neededchili paste
  • As neededyour favorite barbeque sauce

Steps

  1. 1

    Form the rice into two cakes. Heat the oil and fry the patty cakes. Turn as needed. Fry crispy on each side. These can start popping.

    When done move to a plate and top with the chili paste and barbecue sauce. Serve I hope you enjoy!!!
