Pearl Millet or Bajra with Black Gram Dosas just as perfectly made as those with the Rice and Lentils combination. These delicious and healthy Dosas are a great option for a wholesome Breakfast.
These are fermented batter Dosas that are super airy, spongy and delightful. The whole Bajra or the sabut Bajra is such a wonderful option for a healthy meal. Be it a Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner, it can be made at any time of the day when the whole family can enjoy it together. Flattened Rice or Poha added to it completes the ratio of Rice in these yummy Dosas.
The chutney can be of your taste and Sambar can be skipped if desired. Aloo Masala and Chutneys are more than enough. I served these beautiful looking crisp Dosas with Peanut and Roasted Gram Chutney.

Steps
- 1
Wash and soak both the pearl millet and the lentils for a good 6 to 7 hours or better still overnight. Grind them to a smooth paste using same water in which they were soaked as required. Set aside.
- 2
Allow it to ferment overnight. Next day, stir in some salt according to taste and mix.
- 3
Make dosas effortlessly. Pour a ladleful of the batter on a hot non-stick tawa or a cast iron griddle. Spread in a circular motion to form a thin crisp round shaped dosa. Drizzle oil or ghee on it and cook for about 2 minutes each. Make all in the similar way.
- 4
Serve them piping hot from the griddle to the plate alongside any of your favourite chutneys and potato masala. Enjoy!
