Turai With Dal Bodi

Wash and peel turai and cut into desired small pieces.

Heat a pressure cooker and add 1 tbsp oil. When oil is warm add dal bodi and slightly fry for 30 seconds. Take out and keep aside.

Add remaining oil to the pressure cooker and let it warm. Add fenugreek seeds, when the seeds turn brown, add chopped onion and fry till golden. Now add ginger garluc padte and saute a few seconds.

Add remaining spices. Add 2 tbsp water and salt. Saute 1 minute.

Add turai and mix well with the spices. Add dal bodi also.

Add 1/4 cup water and pressure cook for two whistles on medium flame. Let the pressure release itself.

Open lid after pressure release. Dry liquid if any. Turai with dal bodi is ready to be served. Serve with boiled rice or chapati.
