Oolong tea, brewed right 🫖⏳

Let’s start easy! Brewing a delicious cup of tea like Chinese Longjing (Dragon’s Well) tea requires just the right temperature and patience—around 85°C— to preserve its delicate flavor. Overheating leaves can quickly spoil the taste, even a classic like Oolong deserves our attention to water temperature and steeping time.

Steps

Today, I prepared Qilan Oolong tea, boiling filtered water and letting it rest in my tropical climate for 5 minutes to lower to just the right temperature.
Steep the leaves for no more than 3-5 minutes; I personally need a longer infusion time of 5 minutes.

To complement my evening tea, I am enjoying it with gluten-free homemade almond biscuits topped with sesame seeds and healthy goji berries. 🥂
