Dough : Combine whole wheat flour, oil & salt with your fingertips. Add water to make a soft dough. Cover & rest the dough for 10 minutes.

Stuffing. : Take enough water in a pan, add salt & boil it. Drain the water from the dal & add it to the boiling water. Cook the dal for 8 - 10 minutes, while stirring occasionally.

Drain the dal in a strainer. Mash the dal lightly with a potato masher.

Add spring onion, grated ginger, chopped green chillies,, coriander, red chilli powder, coriander - cumin seeds powder, garam masala & mix well.

How to proceed : Divide the dough into 3 equal portions. Take 1 portion & roll it into a 3 inch diameter circle, using dry rice flour.

Place 1 portion of the stuffing in the centre & bring all the sides in the centre & seal tightly.

Roll out again into a 4 inch diameter circle, using dry rice flour.

Heat a tawa & cook the parathas on both sides, using ghee, till golden spots appear on both the sides.

Repeat to make the rest of the parathas the same way.

Serve the parathas immediately.
