  1. 2 stripspork belly (from supermarket, about 1 pound/450 grams)
  2. 1 packagequail eggs
  3. as neededGinger slices,
  4. 2 bottlesYakult (about 2.7 fl oz/80 ml each)
  5. 1/2 bottlesoy sauce (use empty Yakult bottle to measure, about 1.4 fl oz/40 ml)
  6. as neededWater,

  1. 1

    Cut the pork belly into bite-sized pieces.

    Add the pork belly and ginger slices to a pot and sauté until golden brown.

    Add the quail eggs, Yakult, and soy sauce.

    Skim off any foam, then simmer for at least 1 hour (the longer it soaks, the more flavorful it becomes). Serve.
