Ingredients

8-10 people
  1. 1 lbshell pasta (or macaroni)
  2. 4 cupswater
  3. 1 (8 oz)block cream cheese
  4. 2 cupsmilk (whole or 2%)
  5. 3-8 ozbags of grated cheese (2 sharp cheddar and 1 cheddar jack)
  6. 1sleeve Ritz crackers
  7. 1sick butter (softened to room temp)
  8. Optional add ins: fresh baby spinach (2 handfuls), jarred artichokes cut roughly, mushrooms, and small shrimp (tossed lightly in old bay) for a seafood rendition
  9. Italian seasoning for topping
  10. Garlic powder for Ritz mixture
  11. 1/2 TspSalt
  12. 1/2 TspPepper
  13. DashCayenne

Steps

  1. 1

    Boil 4 cups water with a little salt then cook pasta for 8 min (Do not drain water)

  2. 2

    Add in block of cream cheese and melt a bit then add the 2 cups of milk, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper and cook until thoroughly mixed and pasta al dente

  3. 3

    Mix in 2 bags of the grated cheese (I like to do 1/2 sharp cheddar and 1 cheddar jack for the 2nd bag) saving remaining for topping. Mix well

  4. 4

    Pour into baking dish and top with remaining cheese.

  5. 5

    Mix crumbled ritz crackers with a 1/2 tsp garlic powder and 1/2 stick of butter

  6. 6

    Sprinkle crumble over top and a little Italian seasoning then bake uncovered for 10 min then cover for 10 min. Let sit for 5 and enjoy!
