Steps

Soak the rice/rinse the rice several times until the water becomes clear and soak in salt water for 30 min

Prepare chicken/ in a pan, heat 2 tbsp oil and sliced onion and saute until golden, add chicken strips, turmeric and salt and pepper and cook until become golden, set aside

Cook the rice in boiling water and drain with cold water you must boil the noodles (reshte) with the rice simultaneously. After 5-8min drain it with cold water

In a large nonstick pot pour one tbsp butter or ghee to be melted add tahdig, sliced potato in the first layer and second layer pour the rice. Repeat until all ingredients are used, at the top of pour saffron and cinnamon if you wish

Cover the lid with the clean towel, place on the pot and steam for 30-45min on low heat

Finally you can use melted butter on the top and serve it with fried Raisins
