Oven-Baked Haddock with Garlic-Parmesan Breadcrumb Crust

I grew up on the East Coast where seafood was always part of the dinner table—and to this day, fish is still one of my go-to proteins. It’s light, nutritious, and ready in under 20 minutes!

I grew up on the East Coast where seafood was always part of the dinner table—and to this day, fish is still one of my go-to proteins. It’s light, nutritious, and ready in under 20 minutes!
Steps
- 1
Preheat to 400°F (200°C).
- 2
Pat haddock fillets dry with paper towels.
- 3
Lightly season with a bit of salt and black pepper (depending on your seasoning blend’s saltiness).
- 4
In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, melted butter, minced garlic and Seafood Magic seasoning. Mix well until the crumbs are evenly coated and slightly clumpy.
- 5
Lightly oil or spray a baking dish and lay the haddock fillets in a single layer.
- 6
Spoon and press the breadcrumb mixture onto the top of each fillet, fully coating the surface.
- 7
Bake for 12–15 minutes at 400°F, until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. (Internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).)
- 8
Serve and enjoy!
- 9
Optional finish: For a crisper topping, broil on high for 1–2 minutes at the end. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
- 10
Side ideas to serve with fish:
Steamed vegetables (green beans, broccoli, or carrots)
Mashed or roasted potatoes
Rice pilaf or couscous
Fresh garden salad
