Herbed butter baked trout

Few dishes capture the freshness of fish and the comfort of home cooking quite like herbed butter baked trout. This recipe shines because it lets the natural sweetness of trout meet the rich, aromatic notes of fresh herbs and creamy butter, creating a meal that feels both rustic and elegant.
To prepare, start with trout, cleaned and patted dry. A quick seasoning of salt, black pepper, brightens the fish. Next, make a simple herbed butter by blending softened butter with minced garlic, parsley, and dill,. Spread this mixture generously over the troutso every bite absorbs that buttery, herbaceous flavour. Top it with sliced lemons,
Foil wrap (hobo style) and bake at 350°F (176°C) for about 18 minutes, depending on thickness, until the flesh flakes easily with a fork. The butter melts into the fish, basting it as it cooks, while the herbs perfume the kitchen with an inviting aroma.
Serve the trout straight from the oven with a squeeze of fresh lemon, desired side.
It’s a fuss-free yet impressive dish—perfect for weeknight dinners or casual entertaining, proving simple ingredients can deliver extraordinary taste.
