Steps
- 1
Cut lobsters half lengthwise or get ones cut and ready from the shop. Pull the meat lightly from the shell so it cooks & seasons well. Clean and pat dry. Prep the rest of the ingredients.
- 2
Melt butter in a hot skillet over medium LOW heat.
- 3
Add finely chopped garlic and sauté for 15 seconds or until fragrant. Keep the heat low so you won't burn the garlic. Add seasonings - Salt & coarsely ground Black Pepper.
- 4
Then place lobster halves in the skillet, cut side down. Spoon garlic butter over them every now and then until the shell is red and the meat is cooked in hot butter.
- 5
Transfer to a plate and squeeze some lemon juice (to your liking) and top with some finely chopped cilantro. Serve hot/warm.
Tips
■ Using fresh lobsters enhances the flavor, and melting the butter in a hot skillet ensures a rich aroma. ■ Blanching lobsters 🦞 in hot 🔥 water 💧before sauteing in hot butter, is optional and you can do that if you wish too. It cut ✂️ down cooking time ⏲️ a little. We would, with big lobsters 🦞 but skip blanching with the small ones. ■ Add a teaspoon of cooking oil if your heat burn the butter. So, always keep your heat on medium or low. ■ Lastly, use your preferred fresh or dried herbs 🌿
