Steps

Seive white flour mixed with baking powder and baking soda. Keep aside in a bowl.

Mix oil & butter and whisk to get a homogeneous paste. Add condensed milk, and whisk nicely.

Add 1 tsp of white vinegar to 3/4th cup milk and mix well.

Now add half quantity of milk to the condensed milk mixture.

Add half quantity of dry ingredients (white flour mixture) to the milk mixture and mix. Then add remaining milk and mix well. Finally add remaining dry ingredients to the mixture. Mix well. Add vanilla essence. Whisk well. The cake batter is now ready.

Preheat kadhai with cover for 10 minutes on low flame.

Prepare cake tin with butter paper and grease the sides of the cake tin.

Pour the cake batter into the cake tin, sprinkle some almond flakes and raisins and place the tin in preheated kadhai.

Bake the cake for 40 to 45 min on low flame.

Cool the cake on wire rack and cover it with kitchen towel so that the top layer of cake remains moist.

Moist, spongy vanilla cake is ready. Cut the cake and serve.
Tips
Always bake cake in preheated oven and when it is completely cool then only cut it.
