Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 1(about 400g) Whole white fish
  2. 30 g(julienned) Ginger
  3. 30 g(cut into 4cm pieces) Scallions
  4. 2 tbspSoy sauce
  5. 1 tbspCooking oil
  6. 2 tbspWater
  7. 1/2 tspSalt

Steps

    Clean the fish and pat dry. Make a few slits on both sides.

    Sprinkle salt on the fish and place on a heatproof plate.

  3. 3

    Top with half the ginger and scallions.

  4. 4

    Steam over high heat for 10-12 minutes until cooked.

  5. 5

    Remove, discard excess liquid, and top with remaining ginger and scallions.

  6. 6

    Heat oil until smoking, pour over fish.

  7. 7

    Drizzle soy sauce and water over the fish. Serve hot.

Tips

For extra flavor, you can add a splash of rice wine or sesame oil before serving.
