Simple tawa-grilled basa fish made in a small batch with lemon and curry masala. Crispy edges with soft juicy inside, perfect for a quick homemade meal.

Wash all fish pieces and pat them dry.

Make small cuts on each piece.

Add salt, curry masala, and lemon juice.

Rub evenly on all pieces.

Marinate for 15–20 minutes.

Heat oil or butter on tawa (medium flame).

Place fish pieces without overcrowding.

Cook for 4–5 minutes without flipping.

Flip carefully and cook another 3–4 minutes.

Remove once golden and cooked.

Add a little lemon juice before serving.
Tips
Cook in batches if your tawa is small (important for crispiness).
Don’t flip repeatedly — one flip is enough.
Slight charring = good flavor.
If water releases, increase flame slightly at the end.
