Ingredients

  1. 200 gAll-purpose flour
  2. 100 ml(plus extra for paste) Water
  3. 1/2 tspSalt
  4. 1/2 tsp(for dough) Black pepper
  5. 2 tbsp(for layering and frying) Oil
  6. 150 gMinced beef
  7. 2 stalksSpring onions
  8. 1/2 tspTurmeric
  9. 1/2 tsp(for filling) Salt
  10. 1/4 tsp(for filling) Black pepper
  11. 1 tbsp(for layering and paste) Flour

    Cook minced beef with spring onions, turmeric, salt, and black pepper for a few minutes. Set aside to cool.

  2. 2

    Mix flour, water, salt, and black pepper to form a smooth dough. Divide into small balls.

  3. 3

    Roll each ball flat, brush with oil, sprinkle with flour, and stack them.

  4. 4

    Flatten the stacked dough balls together into a large thin sheet.

  5. 5

    Heat a pan and cook the rolled dough for a few minutes on each side. Remove and peel off the first thin layer. Repeat until all layers are separated.

  6. 6

    Cut the thin sheets into strips or shapes for sambusa wrappers.

  7. 7

    Place filling on each wrapper, fold into sambusa shape, and seal edges with a paste made from flour and water.

  8. 8

    Fry sambusa in hot oil until golden brown.

Tips

For extra flavor, you can add more spices to the filling or serve with a dipping sauce.
