Steps

Wash and soak tuver dal for 15 minutes. Boil tuver dal in a cooker. Add cut tomato, pinch of salt and turmeric powder. Make 3 whistles. Whisk dal properly.

Add required water to adjust medium thick consistency. Add raw peanut, kokum and jaggery.

Add turmeric powder, and cumin coriander powder. Add salt as per taste. Stir well.

Add chopped green chili and ginger.add red chili powder.

Heat oil for tempering. Add mustard seeds, asafoetida, dry red chilli, fenugreek seeds.

Add in the boiling dal. Boil tuver dal for 5 minutes. Next add chopped green coriander.

You can enjoy this khatti mithi tuver dal with steamed rice.
