Sieve Maida, Baking powder and Baking Soda

In other vessel beat milk maid and butter till both turn fluppy.

Slowly add Maida mix to the above vessel.

Blend it with milk, essence and a little food colour until smooth.

Grease and dust the cake mould and pour the batter to it.

Place the idly cooker with closed lid on the stove for 2 mintues at higher flame. Later lower the flame and preheat for other 8 mintues.

After 10 mintues, place the mould into it on a lower flame for 20 to 25 mintues. Please ensure that the lid is closed properly.

Open the lid and check the cake with a tooth pick and if the tooth pick comes clean off the flame.

Reverse the hot mould on a plate and your eggless sponge cake is ready to smoothen your taste buds.
