Oven-roasted chicken drumsticks

During Eid-ul-Adha, elaborate curries and traditional BBQ frequently take center stage, but occasionally the most memorable dishes are the simplest ones.
One such dish is for oven-roasted chicken drumsticks. This recipe's simplicity makes it ideal for Eid. You may spend more time with family and visitors and less time in the kitchen by marinating the drumsticks in advance. They form a satisfying dinner that appeals to both adults and kids when served with crispy fries, a crisp garden salad, and your preferred dipping sauce.
The recipe is simple: olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried herbs, salt, pepper, and lemon juice are applied to the chicken drumsticks. They are marinated and then roasted in a hot oven until thoroughly cooked and gorgeously browned. Before serving, a last sprinkle of parsley provides colour and freshness.
These oven-roasted drumsticks are a tasty option whether you're searching for a simple Eid lunch, a laid-back family dinner, or a crowd-pleasing addition to your festive table. Simple meals shared with the most important people can sometimes create the most memorable Eid memories.

Steps

45minutes
  1. 1

Pat the drumsticks dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, oregano, thyme, chili flakes, and lemon juice.

  3. 3

Coat the drumsticks thoroughly with the seasoning mixture.

  4. 4

Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight in the refrigerator.

  5. 5

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

  6. 6

Line a baking tray with parchment paper. A wire rack placed over the baking tray helps the drumsticks crisp evenly on all sides.

  7. 7

Arrange the drumsticks in a single layer, leaving space between them.

  8. 8

Roast for 35–45 minutes, turning once halfway through cooking..

  9. 9

For extra crispy skin, broil for the last 2–3 minutes. Check for doneness with a thermometer. Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C) at the thickest part.

  10. 10

    Remove and sprinkle dried parsley.

  11. 11

Serve hot with French fries, fresh salad, and ketchup or your favorite dipping sauce.
