  1. 2 CupsCarrot Grated
  2. 4 Cupsrice Boiled
  3. 1 TspMustard seeds
  4. 1 TspCumin seeds
  5. 1 1/2 TbspsUrad dal
  6. 1 1/2 TbspsChanna Dal
  7. 2onion Sliced medium sized
  8. 3 - 4green chillies Slit
  9. sprigCurry leaves a
  10. 4 TbspsOil
  11. to tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    In a kadhai heat the oil. Add the mustard, jeera. Once spluttered add urad and channa dal. After the colour changes a little bit, add onions, green chillies and curry leaves and sauté them.

  2. 2

    Add the grated carrot and sauté well for 5-6 mins.

  3. 3

    Now add the rice and salt and mix it all really well.

  4. 4

    Carrot rice is ready!
