Homemade Tutti Frutti Cake
I have always been very fond of tutti frutti cake right from school days. It looks very attractive and colorful and is specially enjoyed by kids very much. And this one is without egg for my vegetarian friends :)
Steps
- 1
Preheat oven to 175 C. Grease a loaf tin. Meanwhile in a bowl sieve maida, baking soda, baking powder and sugar powder and keep aside. In another bowl, beat curd with melted butter until smooth and creamy. Add vanilla essence and combine.
- 2
Then add the flour mixture in three additions into the liquid mixture. Do not over beat, just mix till well combined in low speed. Then add the tutti frutti to the cake batter and fold it nicely. Pour this batter into the greased loaf tin.
- 3
Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or till a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. Let it cool completely, slice the loaf into slices and serve it with tea/coffee or eat as it is as a snack.
