Hello love! This is the third week of my blog Last week was too hectic..too much work pressure..my cats fell ill..the boyfriend got ill too. Vishwakarma(the God of architecture) puja at office and lastly endless rain. Although the week was frenzied it was a very productive one and I ate a lot.. I devoured insane amount of laddos and sandeshes( no doubt I have to workout). The most beautiful part of the week was when on Thrusday night me and my maa were going through some old family album and reminiscing the old days. While doing so we came across many memories of my mum's special dishes which she hardly makes nowadays. Her kheer, egg curry, channar dalna are just yummmm!!!! My mum loves veggie dishes but she cannot live without fish(mach). She is so Bengali. Once on a mother's day I made her a fish dish; she told me on Thursday that she loved it and the taste still lingers on her tongue. * chicken dance moment *So, this Sunday I made that dish again. I am sharing with you all my recipe of mum's favourite Methi mach(fish in dried fenugreeek leaves gravy). My mum loves it so it has to be mouth watering. In fact the boyfriend and his family liked it too. Relax and enjoy.

  2. 2

Wash the fish properly. Marinade with the crushed kasuri methi leaves, garlic paste, green chilli paste, yoghurt and salt. Leave it for at least 2 hours.

Namste!! I am Poulami from Kolkata. You can guess that I am Bengali thus by default I have strong affinity towards food. Throughout the day the only logical conversation in a bengali household is about food.. Pet pujo (worshipping the belly/stomach) is our ultimate motive.... I personally love anything made by my maa.. She is a fabulous cook.. She doesn't follow any particular recipe for anything but is always ready to put something delicious on the plate.. I like the way she cooks.. With super speed.. With agility.. She chops..preps..tempers..boils..grinds all in rhythm.. She is quick and organized.. I wish I were more like her.. I too like to cook but due to my work schedule I hardly get any time.. But I have resolved to cook more often thus this blog was created.. Hope you all enjoy!!!!!!
