Beef and Mushroom

It's been pretty cold here and for some reason home cooked beef of any sort does the trick to beat the cold. So on our coldest day recently, I bought some beef and put this recipe together. I made some home made chapathis, but this will go great with rice as well. I used some meat masala, if you don't have some you can use some turmeric, chilli and coriander and a little bit of garam masala if needed

Steps
- 1
Saute the cumin seeds in the oil. Next add the ginger and garlic pastes and the onions and cook until the onions have softened
- 2
Add the minced beef, the meat masala and continue cooking. Giving it a couple of minutes, add the 1/4 cup of tomatoes, season with salt and pepper and let it cook
- 3
I did not add water but noticed that water was oozing out, so don't pour water until you really need to
- 4
Finally add the mushrooms, stir, season if needed and add water if required. Cook on low until the mushrooms and beef have cooked through
- 5
Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve hot!
- 6
I made some chapathis and it was fabulous
- 7
Yum! yum! yum!
