Steps
- 1
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with the onions, garlic, dill, parsley, and the moistened bread.
- 2
Use a food processor to blend all the ingredients until you have a smooth, uniform mixture.
- 3
Add the vinegar, oil, and all the spices listed above. Mix well to combine.
- 4
Gradually add breadcrumbs, about 1/2 cup at a time, kneading after each addition, until the meat mixture is firm and easy to shape into balls or long fingers without falling apart.
- 5
Shape the kofta pieces as desired, lightly oiling your hands to help with shaping and to prevent the meat from sticking.
- 6
Arrange the kofta pieces on a baking sheet and brush them lightly with oil using a silicone brush.
- 7
Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 35 minutes or until fully cooked.
- 8
Remove the tray from the oven once the kofta is cooked through. Arrange on a serving plate and serve immediately with rice and sautéed vegetables, if available.
- 9
Note: The moistened bread helps bind the mixture and gives the kofta a light, tender texture.
