Prepare the Ingredients
For Sweet Potato 🍠 Bites
▪︎ Roast ½ cup peanuts until lightly golden and aromatic. Cool completely, remove the skins, then crush using a mortar and pestle, electric chopper, or by pulsing in a blender. Set aside.
For Peanut-Coconut 🥜🥥 Chutney
▪︎ Roast ¼ cup peanuts. Cool completely, remove the skins, and set aside for preparing the chutney.

For Quick Preparation
▪︎ Boil the sweet potatoes until just tender. Do not overcook. Cool completely, peel and grate or mash smoothly. Transfer to a mixing bowl.
▪︎ Assemble and measure all the remaining ingredients before you begin for a smooth and easy cooking process.

Prepare the Sweet Potato Mixture
▪︎ Heat 1 tablespoon ghee in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
▪︎ Add chopped curry leaves, green chilli and ginger. Sauté briefly until aromatic.
▪︎ Add the coarsely crushed roasted peanuts and desiccated coconut. Roast for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

▪︎ Transfer the roasted peanut-coconut mixture to the mashed sweet potatoes.
▪︎ Add lemon juice and sendha namak. Mix thoroughly to form a soft but manageable mixture.

Shape & Cook
▪︎ Divide the mixture into 14 portions. Roll each portion into a small ball and gently flatten into bite-sized tikkis.
▪︎ Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook the tikkis in small batches of 4, adding a little of the remaining 1 tablespoon ghee to the pan as needed.
▪︎ Shallow-fry until golden and lightly crisp on both sides. Turn gently so the bites hold their shape.

Prepare the Peanut-Coconut Chutney
▪︎ Add roasted peanuts, desiccated coconut, green chilli, ginger, cumin powder and sendha namak to a blender.
▪︎ Add lemon juice and gradually add water. Blend until smooth and creamy.
▪︎ Adjust the consistency with a little more water if required. Keep the chutney slightly thick so it works beautifully as a dip.

Serve
▪︎ Arrange the warm golden bites alongwith a bowl of Peanut-Coconut Chutney.
▪︎ Garnish with a few roasted peanuts and a sprinkle of desiccated coconut. Add fresh coriander or curry leaves only if permitted during your fast.
