Melt the butter. In a large bowl, combine the kunafa pastry with the melted butter and powdered sugar. Mix well.

Take a portion of the kunafa, add the nut filling and shredded coconut, then roll it up tightly. Repeat until all the kunafa is used. Place the rolls in a greased baking pan.

Bake in the oven until the bottom is golden brown. Remove from the oven, flip the rolls to brown the other side, then return to the oven. Once both sides are golden and while still hot, pour the hot simple syrup over the kunafa and cover.
