Comeback Sauce

Comeback sauce originated in Mississippi as a condiment and dipping sauce and is common all over the south. The variationsare endless with mayonnaise, ketchup and some type of chili sauce blended with various spices. This is my version and we love it with grilled meats, fish and vegetables. It is also good with appetizers, fries, burgers and as a vegetable dip. We served it here with grilled pork, steak and vegetable kabobs.

Make your own special sauce for spreading on burgers and dipping fries in.I modified a recipe for In & Out’s special sauce and it’s even better since you can customize it to your taste. For example, if you like a lot of relish you can always add more.Typically, you’d want to let it refrigerate overnight so all the flavors stand out. If you are making it new, give it at least 2 hours in the fridge before enjoying. Kat -
