Ingredients

20 Minutes
  1. 1chicken cut into cubes for souvlaki (boneless and skinless)
  2. 2 clovesgarlic, minced
  3. 3 tablespoonsyogurt
  4. 2 tablespoonsolive oil
  5. salt
  6. pepper
  7. 1firm red tomato, diced
  8. 1green bell pepper, cut into squares
  9. 1medium onion, cut into squares (cut into quarters vertically and then in half horizontally)
  10. 13-14small whole mushrooms (optional)

Steps

20 Minutes
  1. 1

    Add salt, pepper, garlic, yogurt, and olive oil to the chicken pieces.

  2. 2

    Mix them well and refrigerate for 4-5 hours or preferably overnight.

  3. 3

    Cut the bell pepper, tomato, and onion and lightly salt them, as well as the mushrooms.

  4. 4

    Thread the skewers in the following order: Chicken - bell pepper - chicken - tomato - chicken - mushroom.

  5. 5

    Grill them on a grill or over charcoal.

  6. 6

    Serve with rice, tzatziki, and pita bread for souvlaki. (Of course, fries go perfectly too...)
