This recipe is from my grandmother with whom I share the same name. We grew up with this delicious and nutritional pie! I can smell it a block away. The people of Epirus are unsurpassable where pies are concerned!

Ingredients

For the mix
16 tbspflour
1/2 cupoil
salt
3eggs, beaten
1 glassmilk
as much water as it requires
feta cheese
For brushing the oven tray
4 tbspvegetable oil shortening (fitini)
For the end
1egg beaten with a little bit of water
some crumbled feta cheese

Steps

Combine all the ingredients for the mix (except the feta) very well till you get an even batter. Then, add the feta crumbled in pieces.

Brush the oven tray with the shortening.

Pour the mix in the tray and sprinkle with the beaten egg.

Bake at 180 degrees for three quartes of an hour.
