Ingredients

6-8 servings
  • 1large, thick cod fillet 
  • For the batter
  • 3/4 cupbeer 
  • 2 tspoil
  • 1 tspsalt 
  • 1egg 
  • 1egg yolk 
  • 1 1/2 cupsflour

Steps

  1. 1

    Remove the skin from the cod fish and place the fish in a large bowl of water. 

  2. 2

    In the next morning, remove the bones. Rinse it and let it drain from all the water. 

  3. 3

    For the battermix beer, oil, salt and the yolks. Add the flour. Beat and leave in the fridge for a couple of hours. 

  4. 4

    Beat the egg whites to a meringue and add to the batter, stirring lightly. 

  5. 5

    Finally, add the cod fish into the batter and mix. 

  6. 6

    Heat the pan and using a tbsp take spoonfuls of the batter and put it in the frying pan.
