Butter and lightly flour 8" round cake pan

In medium bowl, combine cornmeal, cake flour, and baking powder, whisking well to mix; set aside

In electric mixer, using paddle beater, beat together, the softened butter, and almond paste on high speed until smooth, about 5 min

Reduce speed to medium then add sour cream and cornmeal mixture, and mix until just blended

Bake at 350* for 35 min or until the color is golden and batter pulls away from side of pan

Remove from oven, place pan on wire rack, cool

Turn cake out of pan, place on serving platter and dust with confectioners sugar
