Ingredients

35-40 minutes
4 servings
  1. 2 litresfull fat Milk
  2. 1/2 cupBasmati Rice
  3. 1/2 cupsugar
  4. 1/4 cupAlmonds
  5. 1/2 tspCardamom powder
  6. 2-3 tbspchopped Almonds
  7. 3-4 tbspFresh Cream (optional)

Steps

35-40 minutes
  1. 1

    Soak rice in water for an hour or two. Grind to a coarse paste using some milk or water.

  2. 2

    Meanwhile boil milk on a high heat at first. Then lower it as it starts boiling vigorously. Cook until it thickens. Also stir in the rice paste. Mix well and cook.

  3. 3

    Soak almonds in hot water. Remove the skin and make a paste of it too. Add this also to the milk. Simmer on a low heat until it comes to a desired consistency. Add sugar also accordingly. Fresh cream also can be added if desired.

  4. 4

    Add cardamom powder and slivered nuts of choice. Serve hot or cold. Enjoy!
