Mix the sugar into tamari and vinegar sauce until dissolved. A little heat could be added in a small sauce pan.

In a cast iron wok, heat up 2 Tsp olive oil. Sauté garlic for a few seconds. Add sliced nagaimo sticks (1 inch length, 1/8 inch thickness). Stir in sauce mixture and add one Tsp of water at a time to avoid stick to the bottom. Cook for about 2 minutes. Serve as a side dish.
