Turmeric is a delicious wonder herb that NEEDS black pepper to activate. Turmeric has been proved to reduce tumors, aid liver function, help kidneys and all sorts of other good things. Salt is essential to proper body functions. Real butter is healthy. Oregano is a great antioxidant among other things. Parsley is used for healthy blood. I have been eating 2 cups of this daily for my work lunch and the aroma from the lunch room microwave makes others drool!

Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 cupRice
  2. 3 cupwater
  3. 1 1/2 tspsalt
  4. 1/2 tspground black pepper
  5. 1 1/2 tbspParsley
  6. 1 tbspOregano
  7. 1 tbspTurmeric
  8. 1/2 stickButter
  9. 1 1/2 tbspOlive Oil

  1. 1

    Cook rice (I use a rice cooker), dump into large mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Plop in room temp butter. I listed a half stick, but you can do to taste. Drizzle in Olive oil. Stir until butter is melted.

    Add in turmeric, salt, oregano, parsley and pepper. Stir well. Until rice develops bright yellow hue.

    Caution: Turmeric WILL STAIN your hands and countertops bright yellow! Be careful. Portion out and enjoy!
