I got this recipe years back from a family friend who has passed away, God rest her soul. We had this side dish at their house one year and I've made it every year for Tgiving since. This year I was smart and made two because everyone always wants more the next day! Hope you all enjoy:)

Boil your sweet potatoes or yams until tender. Let them cool, then peel and cut into smaller pieces

Add sweet potatoes and remaining ingredients for the filling in a shallow dish and mix on medium speed until smooth.

In separate bowl, combine topping ingredients and add crumble to the top of the filling

Bake covered at 375 for 20-25mins. Then uncover and bake an additional 5-8mins or until the crumble is browned

**if you use unsweetened shredded coconut for your topping, up your brown sugar by a bit. I used sweetened shredded coconut so I only added a 1/2cup of brown sugar**
