Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupunsalted butter (about 110 grams)
  2. 1 2/3 cupspowdered sugar (about 200 grams)
  3. 1-2 teaspoonsvanilla extract
  4. 2-3 tablespoonsmilk

Cooking Instructions

    Let the butter sit at room temperature until very soft (take it out of the fridge for 2-3 hours). Use an electric mixer on medium speed to beat the butter for about 4-5 minutes until it becomes pale and creamy.

    Sift in the powdered sugar, then use the electric mixer on medium speed to beat for about 3-4 minutes.

    Add the vanilla extract and gradually add the milk, mixing until you reach the desired consistency.

    Due to the butter content, the buttercream frosting must be stored in the refrigerator.
