I wanted to make a homemade bread. After having a look around I settled on a recipe I found through pinterest on www.ahomemadeliving.com.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Using a wooden spoon, stir together the flour, salt and yeast in a large bowl (Adjust the salt to how salty you like your bread).
- 2
Add the water and mix the ingredients until you have a very wet dough.
- 3
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and put a kitchen cloth over it and let it sit in a warm place for 8-18 hours.
- 4
Once the dough is done rising. Turn it out onto a floured surface (the dough will be very wet so you'll need quite a bit of flour) and shape it into a ball.
- 5
Let it sit covered while you preheat the oven to 450f/gas mark 8.
- 6
Place the lidded ceramic pot in the oven.
- 7
Cut out a circle from parchment paper big enough to fit the bottom of a pot.
- 8
Once it's hot enough carefully place the parchment paper at the bottom of the pot and place the dough ball in the center of the pot.
- 9
Bake for 30 minutes covered with the lid.
- 10
Remove lid and bake uncovered for 15-20 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
- 11
Let it sit for 10-15 minutes. And enjoy.

Thanks to whoever shared the recipe on Pinterest!A few things to note: I had my oven set to 400 degrees, due to living in high altitude. My mother taught me to make this bread as a young girl. I continue to make it every couple of weeks. We use it instead of bought loafs and enjoy it for anything - sandwiches, French toast, as a side for meals, etc. Everyone loves it!Edeltraut

No-Knead Artisan Bread No-Knead Artisan Bread
I've done only limited baking, until now only shortbreads using baking powder or things like cookies. This is my first attempt at baking something using yeast. It seems like a fairly easy process, only drawback is that you need to let the dough rise for at least 12 hours. Originally from the Basics with Babish channel on YouTube, via Brittlby@Elliquiy. Now if only I can figure out how to stop the dough from sticking to the parchment! 蛟龍Stormwyrm -
