Ingredients

  • 1Turkey
  • Salt
  • 1lemon
  • butter
  • pinchsweet paprika
  • dashwhite wine

Steps

  1. 1

    The night before cooking prepare then salt the turkey.

  2. 2

    Heat the oven to 180 c.

  3. 3

    Place turkey whole on a tray. Spread the butter over the turkey inside and out. Then squeeze half of the lemon juice onto the turkey and slice the other half and place both inside and on the outside turkey. Add a splash of white wine.

  4. 4

    Cover with foil and place in the oven. The times vary depending on the size of the bird. A 6 to 8 pound turkey will take 2 1/2-3 hours to cook.

  5. 5

    I recommend basting the bird every 30 minutes or so.

  6. 6

    When ready remove from the oven and let it rest for at least 30 minutes covered in foil.
