Who doesn't love buttermilk pie? 😍 my daughter requests these at every holiday!

This was the first pie I made on my own in the 6th grade.

I found this recipe online. It's supposed to be an old Amish recipe. I simplified the steps a little. Delicious!

This is one of my favorite pies. It is a mix between blueberry, egg custard and chess pie. Not quite as sweet as chess. Don't let the buttermilk fool you. It makes a delicious pie. If you didn't know it was in there, you would never know. Great warm or cold.

This recipe is based on one my grandmother made every holiday from the time I was very small til about a year before she passed in 1997. She never revealed her recipe, except to my mother. Momma later passed it on to me. It will never match Grannys but she would've been proud

My husband loves this, one of his favorites

This is a very old recipe and I can say it has only become better over time. It takes a while to prepare this baby but I wouldn't trade the happy faces I get to see when I serve this pie for any amount of work it takes to bake it.The pastry recipe I put below can be used for any kind of pie, tarts, quiche. Just skip on the sugar if you're baking a savory pie.

Even if you don't care for buttermilk, this is a rich delicious pie.
