Ingredients

  1. 2eggs
  2. 1/4 cupcanola oil
  3. 1 envelopewhipped topping mix (Dream Whip)
  4. 1 3/4 cupcold root beer, divided
  5. 1 packages(18 1/4 ounces) white cake mix

Steps

  1. 1

    In a large bowl, combine cake mix, oil, eggs, and 1 1/4 cups rootbeer.

  2. 2

    Beat on low speed for 2 minutes or stir by hand for 3 minutes.

  3. 3

    Pour into a greased 13 X 9 inch baking pan.

  4. 4

    Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.

  5. 5

    Cool completely on a wire rack.

  6. 6

    In a small bowl, combine the whipped topping mix and remaining root beer.

  7. 7

    Beat until soft peaks form.

  8. 8

    Frost cake.

  9. 9

    Store in the refrigerator.

Some of my favorite things are family, friends, my pets, cooking, baking, football (Badger & Packer), Brewer baseball, college basketball, car racing, thrift stores, volunteering, and rummage sales. I have a 9 year old rescue dog, and 7 birds ( 6 are rescue) and they range in age from 1 year to over 19 years old. I volunteer for a dog rescue and a shelter, as well as other festivals and organizations.
