Ingredients

  1. 1Cube Steak
  2. 1buttermilk for dipping
  3. 1 cupflour for dredging ( may need more depending on how many steaks you are making )
  4. 1salt and pepper to taste
  5. tsponion powder
  6. tsppaprika
  7. 1/2 tspgarlic powder ( optional )
  8. 1dry steak seasoning if desired
  9. 1Panko bread crumbs
  10. 1oil for frying

Steps

    Add enough oil to pan to cover steak fingers about half way.

  2. 2

    Heat oil to 350°F. I use electric skillet or cast iron. But any frying pan you have is fine.

  3. 3

    Cut cube steaks into strips or bite size pieces. Below is the bite size. I always cook both ways to please everyone lol

    Mix the flour and seasonings together well. I always sprinkle some seasonings on my meat first and add some to flour.

  5. 5

    Dredge the steak in flour mixture, then buttermilk and then panko crumbs.

  6. 6

    Press down to adhere the panko all over steak. Dredging in flour first helps keep breading on while frying.

  7. 7

    Cook without crowding in hot oil. Brown on one side then flip. Brown.

  8. 8

    Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. Can sprinkle more salt on if desired.
