  • 1 ozOlive Oil
  • 4 ozBacon
  • 4 ozYellow Onions
  • 2 ozCelery
  • 2 eachGarlic Cloves
  • 1/4 tspRed Pepper Flakes
  • 8 ozChicken Broth
  • 1 ozApple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tspSugar
  • 1 bunchCollard Greens
  • 1Salt and Pepper

  1. 1

    In a large pot heat the oil and bacon over medium heat until bacon is rendered and crisp. 5-7min

  2. 2

    Add onions and celery 3 to 5 minutes in the garlic chopped (or to desired size) and red pepper to cook for 1min.

  3. 3

    Add the collard greens stir well. Add chicken broth and vinegar.

  4. 4

    Add sugar, salt and pepper.

  5. 5

    Cover partially the pot. Lower heat to low cook for 30-40 min.
