Cooking Instructions
- 1
the night before...line a strainer with double layer of cheesecloth (a clean cotton dish towel will work also)
- 2
place lined strainer over a bowl, empty yogurt into the strainer, cover with plastic wrap refrigerate over night
- 3
place grated cucumber and grated dill pickle in a fine mesh strainer over a bowl, and refrigerate over night as well, this is to drain as much of the liquid as possible
- 4
the next day, stir the drained yogurt, cucumber, pickle, garlic, lemon juice and parsley together in a bowl
- 5
season with salt and pepper, cover and refrigerate 1 or 2 hrs before serving to allow flavours to meld

Tzatziki Sauce Tzatziki Sauce
This is great on alot of different things, like grilled meat and veggies. If you use a regular cucumber instead of an English cucumber, be sure to scrape the seeds out before dicing it. Also, if using freshly chopped dill weed instead of dried, use about 1 tbsp. Christina -

Tzatziki Sauce Tzatziki Sauce
I have been playing around with this recipe for a while now, and I finally decided to sit down and log how I made this sauce. I feel like I have a pretty solid idea down, but I am always open to improvements. This is my first recipe ever, so hopefully you will like it! I hope I can continue to create, share, and find new recipes with this awesome community. Thanks! * P.S. I have been working on the recipe because the 3/4 tbl of garlic powder gives it a strong garlic taste. Try about 1/2 tbl of garlic salt (instead of powder) for less garlic flavor, and more of a refreshing taste if you would like. Thanks and happy mixing! (Don't know if I would call this cooking yet haha) Sam Martyn -

Greek Souvlaki & Tzatziki Sauce Greek Souvlaki & Tzatziki Sauce
This is my version of a recipe I saw on a cooking show in Canada. The word for "eatery" in Greek is "taverna." This sounds like "taberuna," in Japanese, which means "don't eat," so, it's an eating establishment where you can't eat? There are lots of "taverna" in Vancouver and they are very popular.Tzatziki is a versatile sauce that can be used for both meat and salad. Put chicken and salad topped with tzatziki in pita bread for a pita sandwich. I'm in love with this sauce. Recipe by LazyHata cookpad.japan
