Plantains are larger and bigger than the usual bananas. This recipe, tostones, are made with green, unripe plantains. This twice fried green plantains are great on its own and they also pair well with any kind of savoury dips. You can serve them as finger food / hors doeuvres. Top them with any protein with some fresh chopped herbs, red onion, tomatoes and your preferred sauce.#CA2025#CookpadApron2025#april2026#springfeast#lunch#dinner#snack#appetizer#plantain#deepfried#fried#Asian#texas#HEB#butter#duckfat#fingerfood#horsdoeuvres#southerners#starch#bites Pinkblanket's Kitchen -

I LOVE TOSTONES! My son used to always ask me what my favorite food is and it was always the same answer: tostones!I was getting tired of ordering tostones for delivery. By the time they arrived they weren't hot or crispy. I decided I would make them at home to avoid sacrificing taste and texture. Care73 -
