halve and stone the plums . crack 4 stones with a hammer and place in two muslin bags . place 1 bag in each jar

add equal quantitys of plum sugar and vodka to the 2 jars

store in a dark cupboard for 6 weeks . shake every few days until the sugar has dissolved.

After 6 weeks remove bag of stones and return to cupboard for at least a month
- 5
will keep for up to 9 months
