Steps

Cut the bread into pieces (remove corners)

Heat 2 to 3 tsp ghee in a sauce pan

Toast the bread pieces till they turn golden brown and keep aside.

Add 1 cup of water in the same pan.

Add 1 cup sugar

Keep flame on medium low, wait till sugar dissolves

Add 3/4 tsp cardomom powder and 1/2 tsp rose essence.

When sugar syrup becomes thick then add 4 chopped dates.

Gradually add the bread pieces

Add 2 cups milk and 3 tsp of ghee.

Finally add roasted cashew nuts,almonds and raisins.mix well

Bread halwa is ready!
