8 servings

8 slicebacon
1 lbboneless chicken breast
1 1/2 cupchopped sweet onion
1 mediumjalapeno pepper finely chopped
4 clovegarlic, minced
1/3 cupall-purpose flour
6 cupchicken broth
2 largeYukon gold potatos, chopped
2 cupsweet corn kernels
1 1/2 cupwhipping cream
1/2 tspcayenne pepper

6 quart pot cook bacon until crisp. remove with spoon; set aside. save droppings.

add sweet pepper & onion to pan. cook until tender. add jalapenos & garlic; cook & stir 3 minutes. stir in flour, cook & stir 1 minute. add broth & potatoes. bring to boiling; reduce heat.

cook uncovered, 10 minutes or just until potatoes are tender; stirring. add chicken, corn, cream, cayenne, bay leaves.
